Audio Sample Rate and Bit Depth Explained - Get Better Audio Mastering Results

DO NOT LOWER YOUR SAMPLE RATE OR BIT RATE WHEN EXPORTING YOUR TRACKS! When you lower your sample rate or bit depth, you lower the quality of your recording.   If you plan to get your songs mastered, you should export them at the same sample rate and bit depth that they were originally recorded in.   Keep in mind that most DAW and interfaces are set to record at 44.100kHz and 16bit by default.   You can set your session to record at a higher sample rate and bit depth to get a better quality recording but do not lower it down when you export the tracks.   The mastering engineer can work with those higher formats.   A good high quality setting for recording is 48.000kHz and 24bit. What is the sample rate? Don’t Worry. This Didn’t Stop Us!

Well, the owner of KBJ Records was out promoting the business when he was met with a racial slur from an occupant inside of a local club on Beale Street in Memphis TN. When the owner of KBJ confronted the occupant about the racial slur she cried wolf and security pushed the owner onto the pavement fracturing his thumb.   But don’t worry.  He will continue to get the word out about this great company.  He is committed to uplifting the indie musician and it will take a lot more than a fractured thumb to stop him from  changing the future of the music industry. The New Studio Plans for KBJ Records.

KBJ Records, is still drawing up plans for the design of an affordable top of the line indie studio. We are toying with these colors and it will be modeled after the great Hans Zimmer studio design. The “New Record Deal”

The “New Record Deal”  Kelvin Butler, owner of KBJ Records.com, is in the process of creating something groundbreaking in today’s music industry. He is creating what he calls “The New Record Deal”. This young record label has been making a name for itself by making the needs of the indie musician its top priority. Although ambitious, KBJ Records is determined to make “The New Record Deal” a reality.  WHAT IS A RECORD DEAL? In the old music industry, record deals were only loans. The label would loan an artist money, and the artist would use that money to pay for studio time, producers, promotion, etc. The label would assist the artist in finding the best people for the job but they did not pay for anything. When the artist would release an album, the label would recoup all of their money first, before the artist would receive a dime.
